Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive in Arusha, where your climbing team welcomes you for briefing and gear check. Rest at your lodge before the mountain calls.

Day 2: Momella Gate (1,500 m) – Miriakamba Hut (2,500 m)

Begin your hike through lush rainforest filled with colobus monkeys and birdsong. Ascend gently to Miriakamba Hut for your first night on the mountain.

Day 3: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut (3,570 m)

The trail climbs through montane forest to open grasslands. The views of Mount Meru’s crater walls grow dramatic as you reach Saddle Hut beneath Little Meru Peak.

Day 4: Saddle Hut – Summit (4,566 m) – Miriakamba Hut

A pre-dawn start takes you along a narrow ridge to Socialist Peak. Watch the sunrise over Kilimanjaro, then descend for a hearty breakfast and overnight rest at Miriakamba Hut.

Day 5: Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Arusha

Descend through the forest, passing waterfalls and wildlife. Celebrate your summit success at the gate before returning to Arusha.
